Residential Treatment for Alcohol Addiction

At Castle Craig we have developed a specialised residential treatment programme for alcoholism. Alcohol addiction is a primary, chronic brain disease and patients must undergo an abstinence-based programme in order to achieve long-lasting recovery.

Alcohol Detox

At Castle Craig our personalised alcohol detoxification programme is supervised by an experienced team of doctors and nurses, who work to make detox as safe and comfortable as possible. Because our treatment is residential and located on one site, patients can join in the daily routine of individual counselling and group therapy as soon as their physical condition permits.

Personalised Alcohol Rehab Plan

The personal treatment needs of each individual are taken into account when we form their alcohol treatment plan. Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, doctors, nurses and therapists meet regularly to discuss the patient’s ongoing condition and update their treatment plan according to their progress in treatment.

Our Treatment Model

The Castle Craig Treatment Model is made up of evidence-based therapies for the treatment of addiction. Our programme includes detox, medical care, 12 Step facilitation, individual therapy, group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, family therapy and complementary therapies that have been proven effective for patients with substance misuse disorders. The recovery process is assisted by a combination of exercise and a healthy diet, in peaceful, private surroundings.

We assign a personal focal therapist who works with patients throughout their stay, conducts one-on-one therapy sessions and shapes their aftercare plan alongside the Head Nurse and Consultant Psychiatrist.

This is our treatment model for a lifelong recovery from alcohol addiction, and it is proven to work.

Get Help for Alcohol Addiction Now

If you or a loved one struggles with alcohol addiction it is important that you get help as soon as possible. Trying to detox from alcohol on your own is dangerous and doesn’t address the underlying issues of your addiction. A structured rehab programme that includes detox, consultant psychiatrist care, medical treatment and psychotherapy provides a good chance for lasting recovery.
