Castle Craig Nederlands
Since 2008 Castle Craig has had a sister network of outpatient addiction clinics in The Netherlands. The clinics in Holland are located in The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Since 2008, Castle Craig Nederlands has provided outpatient care and referrals to Castle Craig and Smarmore Castle rehab clinics for people suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction and dual diagnosis. Castle Craig Nederlands have a network of clinics around Holland and the team includes a Treatment Director, Consultant Psychiatrists and Therapists.
Patients begin their journey to recovery with a Castle Craig Nederlands outpatient clinic. They receive a referral to inpatient treatment at Castle Craig, Scotland or Smarmore Castle, Ireland; or they are referred for outpatient treatment in one of the Dutch clinics. After inpatient treatment they will go back to the care of Castle Craig Nederlands outpatient clinics for aftercare.
Treatment at Castle Craig for Dutch residents is fully or partly reimbursed through Dutch private medical insurance. Those who do not have private Dutch insurance can pay privately for treatment.

Admissions Process in Holland
The Castle Craig Nederlands Admissions Team deals with admissions/’aanmelding’, liaise with your insurer, and can give you further information about our treatment programme or about addictions in general.
Our Consultant Psychiatrist in the Netherlands conducts a pre-admission assessment and this is sent to Castle Craig for approval by our Consultant Psychiatrist. A date is set for your admission to Castle Craig and flights and transport are booked.
The Admissions Team will send you an admission information pack with details of what to expect when you arrive at Castle Craig or Smarmore Castle.
On arrival, you will be collected from Edinburgh airport or Dublin airport by one of our drivers and brought safely to the clinic.
