Our evidence-based inpatient treatments have proven successful in helping people overcome trauma, grief and mental health disorders alongside sex, gambling and shopping addictions.

If you are seeking treatment for yourself or for a loved one then for non-judgemental help and advice call 01721 728118.

Set in the rolling hills of the Scottish countryside, our rehab offers home-from-home comfort with stunning views, serviced rooms and home-cooked meals.

You already know being a slave to your addiction is damaging and no way to live – let us provide you with an alternative option to feeling powerless and out of control.

Behavioural disorders are often misunderstood and overshadowed by drug and alcohol addictions.

At Castle Craig, many of our patients suffer from cross-addiction and often suffer from these types of addictions so you will not be alone.

“Whilst they may lack some of the drama, behavioural addictions cause the same degree of worry and angst and misery.”

These types of addictions include

  1. Exercise and food addictions
  2. Gambling addiction both on and offline
  3. Internet addiction
  4. Love, porn or sex addictions
  5. Shopping and ‘buying’ addictions
  6. Gaming and work addictions

Rehab costs

The cost of rehab will depend on the length of your treatment, the room in which you choose to stay and the level of aftercare support you require.

Our trained admissions coordinators will be happy to walk you through the process, go over your financial options, which include private payment, insurance and NHS funding for free rehab placements.

How we target your dependency

Our research has shown us that compulsive, dependent behaviour is often caused by chemical imbalances, past events not reconciled, current conditions you cannot cope with and things you believe are true that are not.

Our cutting-edge treatment philosophy treats addiction like a disease, where we can look deeper into the root cause of your addiction so we can heal any underlying conditions.

Therefore, you can expect anywhere from 60-80 hours of one-on-one and group therapy per month (CBT/EMDR/Specialised), with a team of therapists and psychologists assigned to your case.

Rehab day-to-day

Your time at our behavioural rehab will work to rewire your brain and teach you essential coping strategies to manage triggers and compulsions.

Inpatient behavioural rehab may typically begin with medical stabilisation followed by a phased approach, where the patient will advance through our programmes upon reaching clinical milestones.

The core components of our residential rehab include:

  • Assessments and evaluations
  • Group therapy sessions and Educational lectures
  • Integrated mental health therapies for co-occurring disorders
  • Special-focus groups for grief, family, faith-based, women and LGBTQ+
  • 12 Step Facilitation and behavioural therapy
  • Wellness activities (fitness, yoga, acupuncture)
  • Holistic and complementary therapies
  • Individual therapy, CBT. DBT, EMDR, one to one, group, family

No single treatment type is right for everyone.

Immediate admissions

Our admissions team is available to help you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Highly experienced in helping others with compassion, dignity and respect, let us help guide you towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.

When you call, we will lead you through a series of questions to understand your situation better and provide you with accurate information and next steps.

How long you should stay

Rehab durations vary from 2-weeks to 6-weeks, depending on the level of care you need.

However, patients exhibiting more complex addiction issues may need further time to address:

  • Co-occurring mental health complications
  • Relapse prevention
  • Sober living skills
  • Special issues and concerns

Our minimum stay is 5 weeks or 35 days as advised by our Senior Medical Director.

Want to recover, but feel stuck? Let the successes influence you…

Here at Castle Craig, you are not treated like a number, but a person. This is why we have employed behavioural addiction specialists to oversee and plan out any form of behavioural addiction treatment.

We’ve seen great success from these specially designed programmes; 98% of our patients rated the overall treatment as good, very good or excellent, with a further 73% reporting long-lasting recovery.

Continued support

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that recovery from behavioural addictions is an ongoing, lifelong process. This is because instant gratification threatens to sabotage your recovery at every stage.

“That’s why Castle Craig strives to ensure that you leave our facility with a recovery plan so that we can try and prevent the risk of relapse back into the old behaviour as much as possible.”

On top of this, we ensure that you have a strong support system in place for your return home. We host weekly group sessions with our alumni to check in on your progress and keep you on track.

Differing from our free aftercare services, we also offer Intensive Continuing Care (£1,200), which includes 2x individual therapy sessions and 2 group sessions a week and Group only Continuing Care for 10 weeks at £500.

No lectures. No criticism. No judgement – just treatment.
